The Iron Pony Fighting Cup is the event of the century. As long as you are a pony capable of combat, you are eligible to enter.

The news spread all over the world. This eventually reached the ears of those dwelling in Tainted Woodlands, where the Changeling Kingdom is situated deep within.

Also deep within the halls of the Dryadheim Fort is a young and impatient prince. Tiring of royal duties, Thorn looks for the next big thing to satisfy his hot blood.

While walking around the castle grounds, he overhears two minions talking about the Fighting Cup, and that applications are open.

He decided that he won't that he won't pass up this wonderful opportunity to fight very strong and very random ponies of all shapes and sizes.

Asking a favor from his good friend Lucent to be Prince Thorn for the while that he will be gone, he flies off excitedly towards Canterlot.

By the time he got there, the applications are already open, and all ponies willing to join were tested of their powers by fighting a clone pony of mysterious origin, but artificial nonetheless.

Thorn, disguised as a pegasus, fought well in the test. He was doing well, until something unexpected happened.

The heat of the moment involuntarily changed him back to his natural form. Everypony gasped.

Harmony Star exclaimed "A changeling! Seize him!"
"The nerve of the likes of you, showing up here!"
Upon being apprehended on the spot, Thorn shouts back ,"Hey! Hold it! I mean no harm. I just wanna fight in the tournament! You ponies claim this: As long as you are a pony capable of combat, you are eligible to enter! I'm a pony too... or at least I could be from time to time, but that's not the point here! Give me a chance to compete!!"

Harmony Star was lost in thought by the words of this arrogant visitor.

"Let him compete," A voice from behind echoed. "Neo Helios? Hmm, what reason would you want this thing around, after all his kind has done?" Asked Harmony Star. Neo Helios answers calmly, "I'd really like to see what he's capable of. Besides, he'll be fighting under YOUR rules, so I see no problem with that. And honestly, I wanna kick changeling ass in front of a live audience. C'mon, it'll be fun."

Harmony gave it another thought, then came to a decision.
"Let him go!" he commands the royal guards. "I knew you'd come to your senses," Thorn responds. "Don't think you're off the hook yet, boy. You'll be fighting under special restrictions, which we will discuss in detail. For now, be glad that I can be considerate. Break my trust, and I'll break you myself." Harmony Star warns Thorn.

"Nicely put together, aegis man!" Neo Helios compliments. "Don't call me that!" Harmony answers back jokingly.

Neo Helion then jumps down and summons his lance aimed at the Prince Thorn: "Don't disappoint me." then flies away.

The changeling prince ends his day, more excited for the coming ones, as he now has the chance to brawl with the strongest colts and mares around!
